Janice and Sonia Lee, also known as “Jayesslee,” are 24-year old twin sisters, born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Always having a creative flare, they explored the field of arts and design straight out of high school, but it did not take long for them to realise their greatest passion was in music. Janice and Sonia are inspired to sing and write about their personal experiences, or the stories of those who have impacted their lives. They aspire to be artists who send out a strong message of hope and freedom through their music.
We’ve been so excited to announce the next city because it’s the place we’ve grown up and the place that made us the people that we are today.
We are so happy to announce that we’ll be having our FIRST EVER Jayesslee concert in our hometown SYDNEY! We are dying to meet all our fans in Sydney so if you’re around, please come out and have a rockin’ night with us :)
To all our Singapore fans! Guess what, we’re going on an APAC tour and you guys are our first stop :D The tickets are going on for sale at 9am your time so jump onto htt://www.sistic.com.sg and please don’t miss out. We can’t wait to see you all!
We finally met Joseph Vincent who was very talented and made all the ladies in the audience melt a little. As he was just about to go on stage to perform, he ran into our greenroom panting and looking a little pale. His guitar had died on him just as he was about to go up and so he had to use Sonia’s guitar for his set! He ran out of the room saying, “Thanks, I owe you!” and we snickered, “Yes! Free McDonalds for us!”
Yes it’s true. After 5 years of dating, Sonia and Andy are now engaged!
Andy has been the faithful man behind the scenes; filming, editing, making bookings, taking phone calls and breaking up fights. He has been with us for the past 2 years and proudly we call him our manager.
We are so glad to be able to share this exciting time with you all and thank you for sticking by us for so long! If some of you are wondering what’s going to happen to Jayesslee, well nothing’s going to happen really. We’re still going to post videos and be our goofy-selves like ever.
We want to give a special mention to Jenny Sun who did such an incredible job with the engagement shoot. She literally had 30 minutes to catch the last drop of sunlight and managed to capture every moment perfectly! Visit her blog for more of her photos and the rest of Sonia and Andy’s shoot! Thanks Jenny, you are amazing.
